Guinness record for largest Zumba class in one location set in Mandaluyong City

Mandaluyong City Zumba dancers set a new Guinness world record for the largest Zumba class in one location.

Mandaluyong recorded 12,975 participants for its nonstop, 30-minute official record attempt, beating Cebu’s 8,232 record nine months ago.

Cebu City held a non-stop 30-minute dance of basic Zumba at SM City, October last year.

This year, the Latin music that clinched the title was played in the inner streets of Mandaluyong City and was joined by thousands  performing the Latin-inspired dance exercise.

“It’s an unbelievable effort by the city itself to organize such an attempt in a short space of time,” Guinness World Records’ adjudicator Alan Pixsley said.
