MANILA – Seven people were rushed to the hospital after eating bread labeled “jelly roll,” which was suspected to be contaminated, according to a GMA News TV report.
The alleged food poison victims were from Barangay Pakiad in Oton town, Iloilo. Shortly after consuming the bread, the victims felt dizzy and nauseous.
The “jelly roll” bread has already been brought to a laboratory for testing.
Prior the “jelly roll” bread incident, about 2,000 people, most of them schoolchildren, were also brought to hospitals after eating durian and mangosteen candies which were also suspected to be contaminated.
Seven were charged while six remain at large for the food poisoning incident.
