San Miguel wins Game 2, makes 2-0 lead in Final series

MANILA – San Miguel snatched Game 2 from Alaska, with 103-95. The Beermen now has a 2-0 lead in the best-of-seven-series of the 2015 PBA Governors’ Cup Finals.

Tying at 95, Marcio Lassiter, June Mar Fajardo and Arizona Reid scored series of shots, pplacing San Miguel in the lead. Romeo Travis, on ther hand, failed to add more scores for Alaska.

“Our last four plays were for Marcio. He really showed that he’s the top shooter of the PBA right now…I’m glad that our composure never waned,” Beermen coach Leo Austria said.

Lassiter finished the game with 17 points on three-point shots, seven rebounds and three assists. AZ Reid, for his part, scored top with 37 markers and seven dimes.

Fajardo also managed to add 16 points and 15 rebounds for the team and Alex Cabagnot scoring 13 shots.

“It’s a nice game for us. We thought that we’re going to lose because of the adjustments they made, but fortunately, we still had Marcio in the corner and June Mar in the post,” Austria said.

Game 3 is scheduled on Wednesday at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.
