MMDA updates list of flood-prone areas

MANILA – The Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) named 20 flood-prone areas in Metro Manila that the public should watch out for, especially during heavy rains.

The list included:

Buendia extension Macapagal avenue – World Trade

Buendia-South Superhighway northbound

Buendia-South Superhighway southbound

C-5 – Bagong Ilog

C-5 Bayani Road

C-5 – BCDA, Taguig City

Don Bosco, Makati

East Service Road, Sales Street

EDSA – Camp Aguinaldo Gate 3

EDSA Megamall

EDSA Pasong Tamo Magallanes Tunnel

España – Antipolo – Maceda in Manila

Katipunan Avenue in front of Shakey’s

NLEX Balintawak – Cloverleaf

North Avenue in front of Trinoma

Osmeña-Skyway northbound and southbound, Makati

P. Burgos – Manila City Hall vicinity

Quezon Avenue, Victory avenue/Biak na Bato

R. Papa – Rizal Avenue, Manila

West Service Road, Merville, Paranaque

The MMDA removed three areas from the previous list which included C-5 McKinley Road, EDSA – North Avenue in Quezon City, and Philcoa in Quezon City, after flood control projects were completed in these areas.
