Makati Trial Court work suspended after Mayor Binay steps down

By , on July 1, 2015

MANILA – Supreme Court Spokesperson Theodore Te announced Wednesday morning that the operations of the Makati trial courts are suspended for today, July 1, after Jejomar Erwin ‘JunJun’ Binay temporarily stepped down from his post as city mayor.

A part of the advisory reads: “In view of the inability to enter the premises of Makati City Hall safely and to avoid any security issues, work at the Makati trial courts is suspended for today.”

For urgent concerns, the Executive Judges and “a skeletal force” can be found at the EJOW (Executive Justice on Wheels) buses parked near the old Makati City Hall, according to the same advisory.
