MANILA – Former Barangay Ginebra import and NBA player Jackson Vroman died at age 34 after a car crash accident on Tuesday, according to several reports.

Before playing for the PBA Commissioner’s Cup in 2012, Vroman teamed up with NBA’s Phoenix Suns in 2005 and the New Orleans Hornets in 2006, as well as FIBA’s Lebanese national basketball team in 2009.

He was imported in the PBA as a replacement for Chris Alexander and was able to take his team to the semifinals. The 6-foot-10 player averaged 16.64 points, 12 rebounds and 4.09 steals.

Vroman was the son of former 1980’s NBA player Brett. He started his basketball stint with Chicago Bulls in 2004.
