MANILA – During the media launch of reality television series “It Takes Gutz to be a Gutierrez,” actress and beauty queen Ruffa Gutierrez answered questions of reporters regarding her ongoing rift with mom Annabelle Rama.

Ruffa only hoped that her mom would learn to ‘let go’ and ‘let her live her life.’

Siguro hindi lang siya happy kasi ayaw niyang may lovelife ako. Gusto niyang tumanda ako ng matandang dalaga,” she said. “I just wish my mom would let go and let me live my life.”

(Maybe she’s just not happy because she doesn’t want me to have a lovelife. She wants me to be an old maid… I just wish my mom would let go and let me live my life.)

I love my mom. Sometimes, she just makes me laugh. Pero, she should also learn to let go… Kung gusto niya, siya na maghanap ng lalaking mapapangasawa ko,” she added. “I want to see kung ano talaga taste niya kasi lahat na lang ayaw niya e from the very beginning.”

(I love my mom. Sometimes, she just makes me laugh. But, she should also learn to let go… If she wants, I’d let her look for the guy that I’ll marry… I want to see what her preference is because she disapproved all guys [I’ve dated] from the very beginning.)

It can be recalled that Annabelle had been vocal on disapproving Ruffa’s current boyfriend Jordan Mouyal.

“Sabi ko kay Jordan (I told Jordan), ‘Don’t worry, it’s not just you she doesn’t like. There was like so many others and they all ran away’,” Ruffa shared.

Ruffa also pointed out that she’s old enough to know ‘what’s right and what’s wrong.’

“I wouldn’t go with anyone that will harm or hindi mamahalin ang mga anak ko. So dapat siguro bigyan niya ng chance… Hindi na ako 15,” the 40-year-old actress said, adding that her mom had always disapproved her relationships since she was 15 years old.

(I wouldn’t go with anyone that will harm or will not love my children. So, I think she should give us a chance. I’m not 15 [anymore].)
