MANILA — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) on Tuesday reported that close to 300 job orders are available for Filipino health care professionals in three hospitals in the United Kingdom (UK).

DOLE Secretary Rosalinda Baldoz said the 270 job orders were approved by the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) to be hired by Omanfil International Manpower Development Corporation, a Philippine-based international manpower agency.

“Apart from the 220 job orders for nurses we have reported in January this year, this latest overseas employment opportunity augurs well to our globally-competitive health care professionals,” she said in a statement.

The job orders are for the following hospitals — Whittington Health NHS Trust, Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, and King’s College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Omanfil Chairman Leonardo De Ocampo through a letter, informed Baldoz about the 270 job vacancies.

The DOLE noted that the recruitment firm being a Presidential Awardee of Excellence, its job orders are exempted from overseas labor office verification and approval.

Likewise, recruitment agencies that received such citation are exempted from evaluation in terms of volume and quality of deployment, technical capabilities, compliance with recruitment rules and regulations, welfare programs and allied services, human resources development plan, industry leadership, marketing capability, social awareness, and proof of responsibility.
