Worst Airport No More? NAIA gets a face lift

By , on March 5, 2015

MANILA — Once dubbed as the worst airport in the world, the country’s Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) — especially Terminal 1 — was a dingy, cramped gateway to the capital city of Manila.

Or is this still the case?

Recent efforts from the government gave NAIA a face lift and a fresher look, beginning with Terminal 1, where international flights arrive and depart.

Roughly P1-trillion was allocated to make way for more airport and mass transit upgrades around the country.
