MANILA – “Kumbaga sa boxing, knockdown sila.

These were the words of Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters  (BIFF) spokesperson Abu Misri Mama over Radyo Inquirer 990AM on Friday, when he said that his group has no plans of returning the weapons they seized from the slain commandos of the Philippine National Police Special Action Forces (PNP-SAF).

The elite policemen were killed in a bloody encounter with the BIFF and Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) on January 25, 2015 in Mamasapano, Maguindanao during an operation to capture international terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir, alias Marwan.

Kumbaga sa boxing, knockdown sila. Kaya sa amin na yun (If we’re talking about boxing, they [SAF] were knocked down. So those weapons are ours),” Mama said.

When asked what they plan to do with the 10 firearms from the fallen SAF troopers, Mama answered, “Ibabaril namin sa kanila (We will use it against them).”

Meanwhile, last week, the MILF already returned 16 pieces of firearms and accessories from the slain cops as a symbol of good faith towards the Philippine government and the pursuit of the Bangsamoro Basic Law.
