MANILA – In light of the confusion caused by the much-talked about “loyal fiancée” post, actress Sandy Andolong has extended her apologies to Toni Gonzaga and her boyfriend, director Paul Soriano.
In a birthday greeting to Gonzaga, which Andolong posted on Instagram, the latter referred to the former as a “loyal fiancée.” This, in turn, caused quite a stir among netizens and fans of the Gonzaga, who have been eagerly awaiting the next development in the TV host-singer’s seven-year relationship with Soriano.
Andolong said in another post that she was sorry for the confusion her comment generated, explaining that used the word fiancée because of the fact that Gonzaga and Soriano “have been in a very stable and God-centered relationship for years.”
The term fiancée was, Andolong added, seemingly more appropriate and romantic.
“I can see how you both bring out the best in each other. I never realized it would cause so much commotion and reaction from so many people. Again, my deepest apology to Tin, Paul and their families for the trouble,” she stated.
Andolong and Gonzaga co-star in the TV sitcom “Home Sweetie Home.”
