Pope Francis — known to break protocol at times in order to reach out to more people — decided to drop by a house in Tacloban City, Leyte on Saturday (January 17) despite inclement weather.
His Holiness was wearing a yellow plastic raincoat to shield himself from the rains and winds brought by tropical storm ‘Amang,’ but the rains and the winds did not deter the Holy Father to visit this blessed family.
The Pope’s visit to the ‘Yolanda’-hit city was cut short due to the incoming storm. PAGASA raised Storm Signal No. 2 on Tacloban and other Visayan provinces.
