KUNMING — Five villagers were killed and nine others were injured in an attack in southwest China’s Yunnan Province on Friday morning, local police said.
The public security bureau of Dai-Jingpo Autonomous Prefecture of Dehong Prefecture said the murders happened at about 7 a.m. in Gazhong Village of Zhefang Township. It described the injured as having been “slashed.”
Police have captured the suspect, a local villager. The victims include the suspect’s family members.
