MANILA, Philippines – Manny Pacquiao celebrated his 36th birthday on Wednesday, December 17, and it seems that among his wishes is to finally get the chance to face Floyd Mayweather Jr. in the ring.

The Filipino boxing legend renewed his counter-challenge to the undefeated American fighter in a tweet which read: “Floyd Mayweather, don’t be a boxing humbug. Let’s give the fans the fight they want. They have waited long enough.”

Although Mayweather recently challenged Pacquiao to a May 2 bout, many – including analysts of the game, as well as Pacquiao himself – have questioned the sincerity of the proposition.
