MANILA — Operations in the country’s main train systems will close early as a safety precaution in anticipation of typhoon “Ruby”, the Department of Transportation and Communications (DOTC) said Monday.
DOTC spokesperson Miguel Arthur Sagcal said in an advisory that the last train that will be serving passengers at the Light Rail Transit Line 1 (LRT-1) will depart Roosevelt Station at 8:00pm, and Baclaran Station at 8:30pm.
As for LRT-2, the last train will depart Recto Station at 8:00pm, and Santolan Station at 8:30pm.
The Southbound Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) will meanwhile depart North Station at 7:00pm, and at Taft Station at 7:40pm.
MRT-3’s Northbound service will depart Taft Station at 7:40pm, and the North Station at 8:10pm.
DOTC said that Philippine National Railway (PNR) Southbound service will leave Tutuban Station at 7:37pm; while its Northbound service will leave Alabang Station at 7:50pm.
PNR, however said that due to the worsening weather condition, the last train going to Alabang will depart at 3:37 pm.
