Port users group propose plans to ease congestion

MANILA – A group made up of different associations of importers, exporters, and port-service providers on Monday came up with a set of immediate and long-term proposals in a bid to address congestion and other port-related problems in Manila.

It can be recalled that the truck ban that happened from February to September of this year has resulted to cargo buildup which was only resolved in the past weeks.

During the Ports Summit held on November 17, the Port Users’ Confederation discussed with the government officials and about 350 delegates in order to come up with several plans.
