MANILA — The recent Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey indicating higher satisfaction rating for the Aquino administration reflects its responsiveness to the needs of Filipinos as it vows to undertake more reforms to promote inclusive growth, a Malacanang official said Monday.

Presidential Spokesperson Edwin Lacierda was reacting to just released third-quarter SWS survey showing satisfaction with the administration surging to 59 percent and dissatisfaction falling to 24 percent.

“These ratings remain historically high compared to other post-EDSA administrations, thus showing the public’s continuing confidence in our government,” he said.

Lacierda highlighted the survey result indicating that the administration received a 70-percent gross satisfaction rating on post-disaster response.

“Despite negative comments made from some quarters, this survey demonstrates the people’s voice—that this administration is responsive to their needs and has been at work in the continued reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts to build back better those areas devastated by typhoons,” he said.

Lacierda said the administration will continue undertaking reforms geared toward expansive and inclusive growth.

“We seek to actively engage and address the various issues facing our country—to build on recent successes and propel our nation toward an even brighter future,” he added.
