Palace denies involvement on Binay probe

MANILA – Malacañang on Wednesday denied allegations of its involvement in the Senate probe on the alleged ill-gotten wealth of Vice President Jejomar Binay.

“We can say categorically that we are not involved in any way,” Lacierda told reporters.

He also added that the Palace had no prior knowledge of the witnesses presented before the Senate subcommittee.

Lacierda also dismissed allegations that the administration is using government funds to run the probe against Binay.

“We are not aware of any [such] moves by anyone in government. We are not using government resources as to how these [allegations] are being revealed,” Lacierda said.
