MANILA– Claiming that the Office of the Ombudsman failed to present any real incriminating evidence, the children of purported pork barrel scam mastermind Janet Lim Napoles have filed a petition urging the Supreme Court (SC) to stop the Sandiganbayan from hearing the graft cases against them.

Pork children Jo Christine Napoles and James Christopher Napoles in their petition called upon the high court to declare the findings of the Ombudsman – which led to the charges filed against them, relative to the pork barrel scandal – null and void.  The two have likewise urged the SC to revoke the warrants for their arrest.

In this regard, the SC has promulgated a 2-page resolution mandating the Office of the Solicitor General (OSG) to file its comments on the Napoles children’s petition within 10 days after receipt of the resolution.

The SC also ordered the Office of the Clerk to look into the possibility of filing a consolidated case against the Napoles children, who stand accused of the alleged misuse of Senator Juan Ponce Enrile’s Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) reportedly redirected to phony non-government organizations set up by their mother, Janet.
