MANILA – Following the senate hearing over his alleged “luxurious” property, Philippine National Police (PNP) Director General Alan Purisima will be opening his house in San Leonardo town, Nueva Ecija province to the media on Monday.

PNP Public Information Office head Senior Superintendent Wilben Mayor will escort around 80 members of the media in a tour inside Purisima’s 4.7-hectare property.

Purisima denies allegation that his property, which has been one of the subjects of plunder complaints, has an estimated cost of around P50 million.

He insisted that his 204-squaremeter ‎house with a swimming pool on a 4.7-hectare land was just an “ordinary house improved through the years.”

Meanwhile, Purisima’s lawyers are set to have a press briefing and present documents that will prove that the property was only worth P3.7 million.

Purisima, who is now facing several plunder charges in the Office of the Ombudsman, remains firm on his decision not to leave his post despite calls for his resignation.
