MANILA — Malacanang on Sunday reiterated that the Aquino administration remains focused on reforms towards nation building and economic development.

In a press briefing over radio station dzRB Radyo ng Bayan, Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said that President Benigno S. Aquino III is prioritizing the implementation of various government reform programs.

”Nais niyang maging higit na matibay ang pundasyon ng reporma at transpormasyon ng ating lipunan,” he said.

Coloma said President Aquino deemed it important to focus on nation-building and economic development efforts rather than spending time on partisan politics.

The PCOO chief was responding to calls for President Aquino to endorse his preferred presidential candidate in 2016.

”Hindi pa po ngayon ang takdang panahon. Meron naman pong election calendar tayo at marami pa pong buwan at linggo ang lilipas bago po tayo humantong diyan,” Coloma added.
