MANILA — Malacanang ordered on Monday concerned government agencies to investigate the car bombing attempt at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3.

Presidential Communications Operations Office (PCOO) Secretary Herminio Coloma Jr. said that President Benigno S. Aquino III has been informed of the incident at NAIA 3 Monday morning.

“Authorities (Department of Justice, National Bureau of Investigation) (are) directed to submit report,” he said.

Coloma assured that the government is closely watching the incident.

Four suspects were arrested after NBI operatives intercepted a suspected car bomb at the NAIA Terminal 3 before dawn Monday.

NAIA authorities have placed the NAIA complex under full alert.
