LONDON — Renowned financial magazine The Economist has named the top 10 most livable cities in the world — three of which are in Canada.
The cities were ranked based on 30 factors and categories, including healthcare, culture and environment, economic stability, education, and infrastructure and development.
Out of 140 cities around the world, Melbourne was named the most livable city for the fourth year in a row.
Here are the top 10 according to The Economist’s Intelligence Unit:

The three Canadian cities are often included in such listings due to its vibrant lifestyle, openness to tourists and immigrants, as well as economic and labour stability.
The Economist also named the least livable cities around the world, which includes Damascus, Syria and Tripoli, Libya.
