MANILA -– An officer of the Philippine National Police (PNP) is among the 11 official candidates vying for the “Misters of the Philippines 2014” search, a police official said on Tuesday.
In a statement, Chief Supt. Reuben Theodore Sindac, chief of PNP-Public Information Office (PIO), said the PNP fully supports Police Officer 2 Mariano Perez Flormata Jr. alias “Neil Perez” from the Aviation Security Group, an epitome of the true Filipino gentleman.
He said the 29-years-old police officer is a graduate of BS Criminology at Manuel L. Quezon University Manila and currently residing at Tondo, Manila and serving the country for almost six years.
Promoting the healthy lifestyle of the PNP personnel, Sindac said PO2 Flormata serves as a model to all police officer who wants to be fit and healthy while protecting our community from different crimes.
“Misters of the Philippines pageant can bring additional opportunities for me in terms of exposure which will eventually help me financially. Through this pageant, I can also show to other people that I can do more aside from being a Police Officer,” Flormata said.
Flormata added that the main purpose of joining the Misters of the Philippines search is to promote what he really loves to do which is healthy living, and how it can positively affect people as well as his co-officers in the organization.
PNP’s primordial responsibility is to maintain the finest physical and mental fitness not only to assure the safety and well being of personnel but also to always be ready to protect and defend their family and themselves.
“Misters of the Philippines” is a result of the commitment to uplift and give a new face to pageants for men in the country. Under the Prime Event Productions Philippines Foundation Inc. (PEPPS), it started to take a stand and found a way to spread the message across that men can give the same honor to our country the same way our beauty queens have done in the past decades.
