Philippine Ambassador Ezzedin H. Tago led the 80-strong officers and staff of the Philippine Embassy during the flag-raising ceremony on June 12 to commemorate the 116th anniversary of the declaration of Philippine Independence.

The ceremony was followed by the reading of the messages of President Benigno S. Aquino, Vice President, Jejomar C. Binay, Secretary of Foreign Affairs Albert F. Del Rosario and Labor and Employment Secretary Rosalinda D. Baldoz, by Ambassador Tago, Minister and Consul General Marshall Louis M. Alferez, Second Secretary and Consul Mary Jennifer D. Dingal and Labor Attache Rustico M. Dela Fuente, respectively.

Ambassador Tago (left photo)  reads the Independence Day message of President Benigno S. Aquino. This was followed by the singing of “Tagumpay Nating Lahat” by the Philippine Embassy Choir and the traditional Filipino breakfast.
