MANILA — The embattled senators who were facing with plunder cases before the Sandiganbayan by the Office of the Ombudsman were slapped anew with another batch of graft cases at the Sandiganbayan.

The Office of the Ombudsman filed Monday afternoon 15 counts of violation of Section 3(e) of the Anti-Graft and Corrupt Practices Act against Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, 16 counts against Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and 11 counts against Jinggoy Estrada.

The law said “causing any undue injury to any party, including the government, or giving any private party any unwarranted benefits, advantage or preference in the discharge of his official administrative or judicial functions through manifest partiality, evident bad faith or gross inexcusable negligence.”

The Ombudsman accused the lawmakers of endorsing fraudulent non-government organizations linked to businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles to direct their Priority Development Assistance Funds for their own gain.
