Palace announces new appointments

MANILA — Malacanang announced several appointment made by the President to different government agencies.

According to Deputy presidential spokesperson Abigail Valte, among those appointed by the President was Nicolas Dy-Liacco Ojeda, Jr. As Deputy Executive Director of the Information and Communications Technology Office, under the Department of Science and Technology. He was appointed May 19.

Other appointees were Thomas Orbos as Assistant General Manager for Planning of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority, Rosa Rosal as member of the Board of Governors of the Philippine Red Cross and Cyril E. Ramos as Deputy Ombudsman for the Military and Other Law Enforcement (Offices).

Ramos was appointed May 20, 2014, replacing Emilio A. Gonzales.

Also appointed were Blas James Viterbo, Commissioner of the Securities and Exchange Commission; Aurora Centeno, Deputy Executive Director of the National Archives of the Philippines, Vicente Lao, member of the Board of Directors, Representing the Business Sector in the Mindanao Development Authority, and Gino Alphonsus A. Bayot, Director V or Assistant Secretary for the Presidential Communications Development and Strategic Planning Office.

The President also made appointment in the Metropolitan Trial Courts in Caloocan City, Makati City, Malabon, Quezon City, City of Manila and Pasig City, Valte said.
