Bow Habitat Station is gearing up for another busy season of teaching young people how to fish responsibly and respect fish, wildlife, water and aquatic habitats.

There is plenty to celebrate this year after flood waters breached the banks of the Bow River and threatened the pond, hatchery, aquarium and wetlands less than a year ago.

“The recovery efforts of the staff and volunteers at Bow Habitat Station have made it possible for families to continue to have the opportunity to teach their children about the sport of fishing and the importance of becoming environmental stewards for Alberta.”

The Sam Livingston Fish Hatchery is part of Bow Habitat Station and produces more than 1.5 million fish annually to stock more than 200 water bodies in Alberta.

With four family attractions including a Discovery Centre, Fish Hatchery, Trout Pond and Interpretive Wetland, there is something for everyone.
