MANILA (PNA) — Justice Secretary Leila M. De Lima assured on Monday she will comply with the subpoena duces tecum issued by the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee on the list given to her by businesswoman Janet Lim Napoles.

Napoles is the alleged “brains” behind the P10-billion pork barrel and P900-million Malampaya Fund scams.

The list purportedly contains the names of lawmakers implicated in the Priority Development Assistance Fund (PDAF) misuse.

In a statement, De Lima said that she is ready to comply with the subpoena duces tecum issued by the Blue Ribbon Committee chaired by Senator Teofisto Guingona III.

The committee on Monday ordered the submission of the Napoles list of lawmakers and other government officials allegedly implicated in the PDAF scam.

De Lima earlier said that she would not yet reveal the names in the Napoles’ list because it had first to undergo thorough and extensive validation.

In a Senate briefing on Monday, Guingona said he has ordered DOJ Secretary Leila De Lima to surrender the Napolis list which is under her possession to the Senate.

According to Guingona, it is time for transparency so that the people will know who are the people listed in the Janet’s list.

“It is time for transparency,” he stressed.

Guingona also said that former Sen. Panfilo Lacson would surrender the document in his possession.

“Lacson is committed to turn over the document to the Senate,” Guingona said.
