There will be scheduled power outages in Davao City starting Wednesday, May 7.
A five-hour outage will be implemented during peak hours and two and a half hours on off peak hours.
The report was confirmed by the Davao Light and Power Company (DLPC) in an advisory, saying that from 120 megawatts (MW), the power supply allocation has been reduced to 102 MW by the National Power Corporation (NPC) through the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP).
“This reduction forced Davao Light to increase the length of its scheduled rotating brownouts from 6 hours to 7.5 hours,” DLPC said in its advisory.
