In observance of the Lenten season, the Light Rail Transit (LRT) and Metro Rail Transit (MRT) will not operate starting Holy Thursday (April 17) until Easter Sunday (April 20).

“No Operations or Revenue Service on April 17-20, 2014. Regular Operations will resume on April 21, 2014,” the MRT said in its advisory.

The Light Rail Transit Authority (LRTA) added that during the Lenten season break, their two systems were also scheduled for maintenance.

On Holy Wednesday (April 16), LRT Line 1 will only operate until 8 p.m. while LRT Line 2 will stop its operations at 8:30 p.m.
