In view of Department of Foreign Affairs’ (DFA) implementation of a temporary passport issuing scheme from 1 to 14 April 2014 due to the ongoing technical maintenance of the e-Passport System, the DFA would like to inform the public that Help Desks will be set up at DFA-Aseana (Office of Consular Affairs) to address queries, concerns, and issues to be brought up by clients during the duration of the temporary passport issuance scheme.

Those with urgent travel needs due to emergency reasons (medical emergencies, death in the family, work) would be required to present documentary proof (valid employment contract processed by Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) or Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO), medical certificate, death certificate) in order for DFA personnel to effectively assist them and address their concerns with urgency.

The Department of Foreign Affairs assures the public that this temporary passport issuing scheme is geared towards the provision of better service for all Filipinos, wherever they are.

Those with queries may call the following hotlines: 651-9430 and 836-7747

The public’s understanding and cooperation is requested during the maintenance’s duration.
