TORONTO—Canada’s varied film, TV and digital projects learn today whether they’re in line for this country’s top industry prize.
The Canadian Screen Awards is set to announce its nominations in film, television and online categories.
The Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television administers the annual bash.
It combines previous separate celebrations for film, known as the Genie Awards, and television, known as the Gemini Awards.
Canuck comic Martin Short will host the televised gala in Toronto. It’ll be his second time after earning praise for a rollicking turn as master of ceremonies last year.
The gala is set to air March 9 on CBC-TV.
