Vietnamese international airport website hacked
HO CHI MINH CITY—The website of Tan Son Nhat international airport in Vietnam’s Ho Chi Minh City has been hacked, the Civil Aviation Administration of Vietnam said Thursday.
A hacker successfully penetrated into the website’s system on Wednesday night, making it inaccessible and leaving a message which says the system’s security is problematic, the administration said.
The hacker did not deface the website or steal or delete any data, it said, adding the website was restored on Thursday morning.
In July 2016, the computer system of national flag carrier Vietnam Airlines used for check-in procedures for domestic flights at Tan Son Nhat international airport and Noi Bai international airport in Hanoi were hacked.
As a result, over 10 flights with some 2,000 passengers were delayed by 30-50 minutes.
