Zoren Legaspi charged with P4.45M tax evasion case

MANILA, Philippines –The Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) filed a P4.45-million tax evasion case before the Department of Justice (DOJ) against actor Zoren Legaspi on Thursday, May 8.
BIR commissioner Kim Henares said that the actor violated the National Internal Revenue Code. She accused the actor of “a willful attempt” to avoid paying his taxes and a “deliberate failure” to supply the correct information in his income tax returns in 2010 and 2012.
Reportedly, the amount that the 40-year-old actor owes includes surchages and interest — P1.92 in 2010 and P2.53 million in 2012.
Legaspi earned P9.64 million and P6.49 million in 2010 and 2012, respectively.
