4.1-magnitude quake jolts Taiwan sea area
TAIPEI—A 4.1-magnitude earthquake hit the sea area off the east of Taiwan at about 6:10 a.m. Wednesday Beijing Time, according to the Chinese mainland earthquake monitoring network.
Taiwan meteorological authority put the quake at 5.2-magnitude. It also said the epicenter was at a depth of about 41.6 km, monitored at 24.33 degrees north latitude and 122.21 degrees east longitude.
No casualties have been reported yet.
