Gulf News reported on Wednesday that an overseas Filipina worker (OFW) testified before the Ras Al Khaimah Criminal Court in United Arab Emirates that she was raped by her Syrian husband’s friends–right in front of her husband.

Court records show that the alleged rapists and her husband were drinking in their home in Ras Al Khaimah when the incident happened.

According to the victim, her husband asked her to have intercourse with him in their room. Since their son was asleep in their bed, she declined her husband’s invitation. Disappointed, her husband reportedly told his friends to rape her–his own wife.

The victim claims that her husband, 28 years of age, was abusing her prior to the incident. However, she withdrew the case for the sake of their son and marriage.
