BC’s Lieutenant Governor visits young local students at Richmond-Delta Regional Heritage Fair

Dania won the Lieutenant Governor’s Historical Literacy Award.

The Lieutenant Governor’s Historical Literacy Award is presented to a student at each of the Regional Heritage Fairs put on by the British Columbia Heritage Fairs Society. The Award is presented to a student who demonstrates exemplary writing skills in a short story that engages the historical imagination. The story must be original work, based on a real person, place, time or event involving Canadians or Canada. The story may be presented in English or French at any grade level.

Michael and Vedanshi were two out of five students who received the BC Heritage Fair Society Stellar Achievement Award for demonstrating exceptional enthusiasm for their topic and history, and a willingness to share this passion with their peers and the community.

Dania Rashid (from the previous photo), was also a recipient of the BC Heritage Fair Society Stellar Achievement Award.
