Marvin Agustin has definitely found a career outside show business.

Even without a business degree under his name, he has managed to build  a huge empire of famous restaurants that include SumoSam, Marciano’s, John & Yoko, Johnny Chow, to name a few.

In an interview with moneysense.com, he said: “I only finished high school.” (But) I took up short courses like Management of the Arts program sa AIM and also took up (a) culinary (course at) the International School of Culinary Arts and Hotel Management.”

He shared that prior to being a successful restaurateur, he first worked as a mascot for a pizza chain when he was 16.  Agustin added that he was also selling barbecue and halo-halo to earn extra money.

Aside from his successful ventures, he also bagged the Young Entrepreneur award at the Entrepreneur of the Year 2012 Philippines banquet.

The 35-year-old businessman recently opened Banzai: The Great Teppanyaki Theater, the biggest authentic Japanese buffet restaurant in the world.
