Miss France Iris Mittenaere was the 65th Miss Universe to wear the coveted crown after being proclaimed winner on Monday (Philippine time) at the Mall of Asia (MOA) Arena in Pasay City.

Mittenaere succeeded Miss Universe-Philippines 2015 Pia Wurtzbach.

Here are some fun facts about her according to her Miss Universe Organization (MUO) profile:

(1) Her first name Iris is pronounced “Ih-ris” and not “Ay-ris.”

(2) She is 23-years-old

(3) She was born in North of France in a town called Lille.
