Beyonce, Bieber lead 2016 MTV EMA nominations; OneRepublic’s performance in Manila nominated Best World Stage

MANILA – Beyoncé and Justin Bieber got five nominations each for the 2016 MTV Europe Music Awards (EMA), making them the lead contenders in the music awards happening this November at the Ahoy Rotterdam in the Netherlands.

MTV revealed on Wednesday the final list of nominations for the 2016 MTV EMA, which is said to be one of the biggest award shows in the world.

“Hello” singer Adele got four nominations. Three nominations each went to Coldplay, Lukas Graham, Shawn Mendes, Rihanna and Drake.

Amercan pop rock band, OneRepublic’s performance in Manila last June was nominated for the Best World Stage category. The group performed in the finale of the MTV Music Evolution that the country hosted, and was held at the Mall of Asia concert grounds.
