MANILA—PDP-LABAN standard bearer Rodrigo Duterte vowed to carry out pro-women programs and reforms if elected president in this year’s polls.

“This is easy, I just need the money to do these. I assure you that if given the chance to sit in Malacañang, I will stop corruption, get all the resources needed so that the needs of our women will be addressed,” Duterte said during a women’s forum held in Davao City Saturday night.

Women group leaders, some of them coming from Zamboanga, Cagayan De Oro and CARAGA Region, attended the gathering at Garden Oasis in Barrio Obrero, Davao City just to hear the PDP-LABAN bet speak.

Duterte made sure he made it to the women’s assembly from a campaign sortie in Cotabato and meeting with Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) officials in Camp Daparaman in Sultan Kudarat earlier that day.

The PDP-LABAN standard bearer intently listened to the issues raised by women leaders during the historic gathering.

Among them are women’s limited access to education, unemployment, lack of health services at the barangay level and the review of the Pantawid Pamilya Pilipino Program (4Ps) of the government.
