Robin Padilla returns to Kapamilya network, signs two-year contract

MANILA – Action star Robin Padilla has returned to ABS-CBN, signing a two-year exclusive contract with the television network today, according to his wife actress-host Mariel Rodriguez.

Mariel took to her social media accounts to announce the Action King’s comeback to his home network; she also accompanied the posts with a photo of them.

“I am so happy for you! Finally going back to the network you belong to. Can’t wait for the projects they have in store for you.

Action King is home! God is good! Supporting you all the way,” her caption read.

“I will make sure we have a happy house to come home to so that you will be more inspired to go to work. Extremely excited to announce that everyone’s idol, Robin Padilla, is signing his exclusive contract with the Philippines’ largest network, ABS-CBN today,” it continued.

Robin’s supporters and followers were delighted to hear the good news as they anticipate his upcoming projects including a father-and-child themed teleserye. The hashtag #RobinPadillaKapamilya immediately trended in Twitter this morning.

Prior to his return, Robin worked with TV5 where he starred in reality and game shows. He last appeared in ABS-CBN in the sitcom Toda Max where he worked together with Vhong Navarro, Angel Locsin and Pokwang, as well as in the action drama Guns and Roses co-starring Bea Alonzo back in 2011.
