Kim Kardashian, Kanye West welcome second child Saint West

Television personality Kim Kardashian and her rapper husband Kanye West welcomed an addition to their family – Saint West, their second child.

Kim gave birth to their baby boy on Saturday, December 5. She took to her website to share the highly-anticipated news to her family’s supporters and friends.

“To our fans: Kim Kardashian West and her husband, Kanye West welcomed the arrival of their son this morning. Mother and son are doing well,” the announcement read.

She also announced the good news in her social media accounts.

Since the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star first shared expecting another baby, the youngest West’s name has been the talk of the town with netizens expecting a directional moniker.

“Everyone keeps on saying South, and I think it’s so stupid,” she told NPR in June.

Kim later on revealed that Easton appealed to her but that her husband was not a fan of the name. In an interview with Ellen DeGeneres, the host quipped with suggestions Head West, Wild Wild, Mid and Tito which the celebrity simply laughed off.

Two days after giving birth, she introduced their newborn as Saint West.

It was not an easy pregnancy for the 35-year-old mother as she has been earlier diagnosed with placenta accreta, a high-risk condition that occurs when blood vessels and other parts of the placenta embed deeply into the uterine wall.

“I’ve surrendered to the placenta issues and actually haven’t been thinking too deeply about them lately,” she previously wrote in her blog, adding that she was concerned, however, that the baby was in the wrong position for childbirth.

“My latest concern is that my baby is breech… His head is still up and it’s supposed to be down. He was supposed to turn by 32 weeks.”

Fortunately, Kim was able to give a normal and safe delivery.

The power couple has been married since 2014 and has a two-year-old daughter named North.
