Filipina airline fraud suspect Lorna Natalie Arcega, 38, was arrested by the police in Toronto, Canada for allegedly pretending to be an authorized travel agent but never gave tickets to her clients who booked cheap flights to the Philippines.

Arcega was able to lure her customers from the Filipino community by offering more affordable flights to the Philippines.

She accepted credit card payments, but victims never received tickets and later on find out having unauthorized charges on their credit card statements.

According to the police, Arcega, who used different names, allegedly used her customers’ credit card information and amassed about 0,000 payments on fares.

The Filipina suspect was arrested on August 27, facing 18 charges on airline ticket fraud, unauthorized use of credit cards, forged documents and false pretense.

She has been summoned in court this month while investigation on her case remained ongoing.

Aside from the multiple fraud charges, the Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) also laid charges against Arcega under the Travel Industry Act of Ontario.
