GENERAL SANTOS CITY — The Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) in Region 12 has awarded Service Quality (SQ) seals to five business establishment in the area for their improved services and operations.
Ofelia Domingo, DOLE Region 12 director, said Wednesday the award mainly recognizes the efforts and strategies implemented by business establishments to improve the quality of their services.
The awardees were the Cinco Niñas Restaurant In Koronadal City and Paraiso Verde Resort and Water Park, Inc. in Koronadal City; Dolores Farm Resort in Polomolok, South Cotabato; Dolores Lake Resort in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato; and Greenleaf Hotel in this city.
“Common to all awardees is the decrease in the number of client complaints that resulted in increases in sales and their enhanced capacity to provide incentives to their workers and crews,” she said.
The official said the five awardees are all labor-compliant or issued with the Tripartite Certificate of Compliance on Labor Standards (TCCLS).
The TCCLS is conferred to companies that have complied with the occupational safety and health standards as well as various labor policies, laws and regulations, including the anti-child labor law.
The five business establishments earlier underwent a series of assessments conducted by DOLE-12.
The regional board, which is headed by Domingo, issued a resolution forwarding the list of the awardees to the Training and Technical Services Division (TSSD) of the National Wages and Productivity Commission.
The TSSD is the official repository of the list of companies or establishments that were issued with DOLE’s seals of recognition.
Meanwhile, five other companies also received special awards from DOLE-12 after topping the regional level of the 2015 Productivity Olympics.
