Julia Louise Buencamino found dead

MANILA — The 15-year-old actress Julia Louise Buencamino was found dead inside their house in Quezon City on Tuesday night.

Police Officer 2 Virgilio Mendoza of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Unit of the Quezon City Police District said Julia’s father Nonie Buencamino signed a waiver “manifesting not to pursue the investigation as they fully believed that their daughter committed suicide.”

Authorities said Julia was found hanging from the ceiling of the bathroom of her father at about 8:20 in the evening.

Household help Elsa Orsales said she saw Julia hanging with a nylon rope looped around her neck.

Authorities however said that the family have yet to establish that the actress really committed suicide.

Julia’s talent manager, Ricky Gallardo said in a statement to the Philippine Daily Inquirer that Julia’s family want to grieve in private and is asking for prayers.

Gallardo added that the family said they found no signs of depression from Julia.

“The family feels devastated because of what happened. They ask for prayers. There was no sign that she was depressed,” Gallardo said as quoted in a report by Marinel Cruz.

“We would like to make a firm request to allow us to mourn her passing in private. We make this appeal for privacy also on behalf of those close to us, who wish to remember Julia and celebrate her life in peace and quiet.

”

“We thank you for your love, understanding, and prayers of support during this time of profound grief. Julia led a beautiful and blessed life, and she will be fondly remembered and terribly missed by her family and friends,” the statement said.
