Filipina teen wins in US golf tournament

Golfer Pauline De Rosario recently placed first  in the  Southern California Professional Golfer Association (SCPGA).

The 16-year-old Filipina earlier won at the US Girls qualifiers in North Carolina, advancing her to the US Girls Tournament in Oklahoma.

Holding her trophy with pride, Rosario dedicated her win to the association.

“This is for the SCPGA, the one I won yesterday,” she said in an interview with ABS-CBN reporter Dyan Castillejo, adding that she is also thankful for her family’s support.

Aside from the US Girls Tournament, Rosario will also compete at the  British Open Amateur Tournament.

Before winning in the US, the Filipina golfer Malaysian Open.
