DOST holds e-Health Summit on July 28

MANILA – The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) will conduct the e-Health Summit on July 28 at the SMX Convention Center in Pasay City, aiming to strengthen support to the health sector.

With this year’s theme, “Scaling up e-Health Innovations for Inclusive Health”, the summit will include a panel discussion on “Making e-Health Ubiquitous”.

Among the other topics that will be tackled include “TeleHealth”, the “Philippine Health Information Exchange” and “Health Social Media”.

The agency said DOST Secretary Mario Montejo, Department of Health Secretary Janette Garin, Philipine Council for Health Research and Development Executive Director Jaime Montoya, PATH – Health Management Information System program officer Caren Althauser and Health Assistant Secretary Gerardo Bayugo will grace the event.

The e-Health Summit is part of the annual National Science and Technology Week (NSTW), which is a time to showcase to the public the latest advances and contribution of science and technology.

This year’s NSTW is scheduled on July 24-28 at the SMX Convention Center.
