SEA Games: PH bags 2 golds in one day

Showcasing an impressive routine, Taekwondo’s men’s poomsae trio Dustin Jacob Mella, Raphael Enrico Mella and Rodolfo Reyes Jr., won a gold medal on Friday in the men’s team division at the 28th Southeast Asian Games.

The Taekwondo jins scored 7.850 points, followed by Vietnam’s 7.

Babanto-led women’s  poomsae trio, athletics’ Edgardo Alejan in the men’s 400 meters, Donovant Arriola in the men’s long jump, Jessica Barnard in the women’s 3000m steeplechase and Narcisa Atienza in the women’s heptathlon, and Eric Ang, Hagen Topacio and Miguel Laperal in the men’s trap team, Jeson Patrombon and Katharina Lehnert in men’s and women’s tennis singles, Maiquel Jawn Selga and Mark Howard Griffin in wakeboarding, Jenar Torillos in Taekwondo’s men’s finweight class, and bowling’s women’s teams of five and men’s squash team were those who took home the 13 bronzes.

Before the day ended, Sinag Pilipinas beat Timor Leste, 126-2, in basketball.
